Zeraxies Tournament Champion Preparation

The first thing you need to know is how
the combat system works. Like so many
fighting games, the point is simply to
bring your opponent's health to zero!

Combat is "Round based." Instead of taking
turns, both you and your opponent attack each
other at the same time. With Speed,
you can act faster and more frequently!

Your Champion can either attack or use an
ability. Attacks deal damage equal to
your Power. Abilities can do all sorts of
stuff, but costs mana!

Remember: Pick 2 Classes & 3 Abilities!

Arenas
An Arena is the stage your Champion is
fighting in, which has an effect on both you
and your opponent! Each Arena has a 20%
chance of appearing.

The last number on the previous match's
submission number determines the next
arena---letting you see which stage is
coming up next!
These are the Arenas that will appear in the
tournament together with their respective
effects:

Terminology and Clarifications

"Act."
An act is whenever your Champion attacks or uses an ability.
Your Champion will always choose the best option.

"Attack."
When your Champion attacks your opponent, dealing damage
equal to your Power stat.

"Ability."
One of the Champion's unique traits.
Abilities can be passive or require mana to use.

"Health."
The amount of damage points your Champion can take in
combat before suffering defeat.

"Power."
The stat which determines the damage your Champion deals
with attacks and abilities.

"Speed."
The number of times your Champion can act during
a round depends on your Speed. More Speed allows your
Champion to act more frequently. 50% Speed would allow
your Champion to act twice a turn, every 0.5 rounds.

"Mana."
The points your Champion uses to cast abilities.
If your Champion has no mana left, he can only attack.

"Deal (2xPower) damage to your opponent."
The ability deals damage equal to 2 times your Power stat. It
would deal twice as much damage as a normal attack.

"Counts as an attack."
Normally your Champion has to choose between using an
ability or attacking, but in this case ability is classified
as an attack. This means the ability gains any bonus effects
that are applied to attacks.

"Stacks."
Indicates whether the ability's effect can be applied
several times for increased effect. If an ability deals
damage over time and stacks, you can crazy damage
by applying it multiple times!

"Non-stacking."

If an ability says "Non-stacking," it means
you can't apply it several times to increase
the effect. Instead reapply it after it expires
to keep the effect active!

"Refreshes."
Using an ability while the effect is already
active
will "refresh" the duration. Useful
to keep the ball rolling!

"Summon."
A creature you call forth to help you in
battle!
Your opponent can target the creature
with their attacks
and abilities instead of
you to kill it.

(The creature attacks at the same time as
you do, but the attack is separate and isn't
affected by abilities that effect your attack.)

Speed Limit
You cannot gain more than 75% Speed at
any given time, limiting you to a maximum
of 4 acts per round. If you hit 100%
Speed,
you'd get infinite attacks!
