Zeraxies Tournament

Zeraxies' Tournament is an upcoming event on FurAffinity where 16 champions will face off against each other in a single elimination bracket.

But for each winner, there is a loser---and this tournament, losers are unknowingly teleported inside a glass dome, naked, bound and gagged on display as a "trophy."

Champion becomes Trophy

Once the final match has concluded and 15 out of 16 champions have become trophies, Zeraxies will come to collect the winner himself---a final boss battle to determine whether the winner will join his fellow champions in "the collection" or if the villain finally will learn the bitter taste of defeat.

Matches will be uploaded on Bogrim's page as single images where users can vote for the match's winner in the comments.

Long ago, Wade Hunter was but one of the many officers in a police raid against the vile naga, Zeraxies. Despite their large numbers and tactical advantage, the villain still managed to subdue and capture every last man---except for one, Wade. Since that day, he's been hunting the beast and trying to find a way to lure the beast out of hiding and once for all, bring down Zeraxies.

Through his government funding, Wade is now hosting a fighting tournament to find the most capable fighter to take on Zeraxies, but with one unknown catch---he's abducting the losers and using them as bait to lure out Zeraxies. The naga won't be able to resist collecting "the trophies."

Has the panther gone too far? They say the more you fight evil, the more you become it. Already there are those that think he has already become a villain. Regardless, the dice has been cast. The champions have been chosen.

  • 1st place will receive 200$ and the chance to fight Zeraxies. The ending will vary depending on the victor!
  • 2nd place will receive 100$.
  • 3rd and 4th place will receive 50$.
* Note: "Vulkin" will be ineligible for any prizes as the host's own entry. Should he place high, any prize will automatically be passed on to the next in line.

In voting for a champion, you have the option to consider their abilities and strength to determine the outcome of the match. As such, there is a "combat system" in place for those who enjoy working with numbers and calculating the winner.

There are four stats:
Health determines how much damage a champion can sustain before suffering defeat.
Mana is a resource with a limited number of points required for many powerful abilities.
Power determines how much damage is dealt when attacking or using abilities.
Speed determines how often a champion can attack or use abilities.
Combat works on an "Action Turn Bar." Basically imagine a long line of blocks that each indicate a round.
Within each round champions have the opportunity to "Act". Either an attack (dealing damage equal to their Power) or to use an ability.

When the champion acts on the bar is determined by their Speed. A champion with 20% speed will act 20% faster.
Notice how on the second bar, the act in round 2 comes even sooner. This is because at 20% speed, the character acts every 0.8 rounds instead of 1.0. So the next act is also only 0.8 rounds away.

For example, you can write your combat analysis as such:
0.8 Hekar used a cool lightning attack! It dealt 60 damage to Krall (700 health left).
1.0 Krall used a brutal bite attack! It dealt 80 damage to Hekar (640 health left)
1.6 Hekar powered up! His power was increased to 35.
2.0 Krall licked his wounds! He restores 40 health (740 health left).
